Rosy Farms; Haskap Alberta Association

Andrew Rosychuk is a trailblazing first-generation farmer and one of North America’s earliest haskap growers since 2005. His 76-acre Rosy Farms is located in Alcomdale, Alberta, Canada. It includes 37 acres of thriving haskaps and embodies regenerative agriculture, organics and is B-Corp certified. The farm is also a hub for research and apprenticeships. He began his journey while studying horticulture and later transformed haskap fruit from experimental trials into a thriving industry. He’s the founder of the Haskap Alberta Association and co-founder of Vitalaberry Farms, a collective of nine growers marketing haskap fruit. In 2020, he was honored as a Nuffield Scholar, cementing his influence in agriculture. In 2026, Andrew will lead Alberta’s first-ever field soil trial, collaborating with the University of Saskatchewan and 20 growers over four years, on top of his three other research trials. Driven by a mission to prove small farms can thrive through value-added practices and ecosystem stewardship, Andrew exemplifies resilience—he’s a five-time Ironman triathlete fueling his relentless pursuit of innovation and sustainability.
