Name: Snow Moon (named for the full moon of February)
Characteristics: Striking shiny white apple with snow white flesh. It is annual bearer of nice crops.
Place of Origin / Zone: New Limerick, Maine / Zone 4a
Lineage: Duchess of Oldenburg x Cortland
Fruit Shape: Oblate to Round
Size: Small to Medium
Skin: White with a waxy bloom, russet/green lenticels, russeted cavity. Pink freckles may appear on the sunny side.
Flesh: Brilliant white, juicy, and firm with a mild refreshing flavor. The flesh does not brown, but rather seals over. Keeps its whiteness and shape when baked.
Uses: Dessert and Baking.
