Welcome to the brand new website! The new website design is exciting and has a lot of features you’re sure to love but it’s brand new and still being worked on in several places. For example the forum won’t be ported over right away but we’re working on that. If you experience any problems please use the contact form to let us know right away. We hope you like the changes that we’ve made and that you’ll find the new website easy to use and useful.
Pomona
You’ll notice that we’ve restructured how we present Pomona. From here on out Pomona will be published as a series of posts on the website rather than as a PDF. Members can still read the archived copies and download them as PDFs even as we eventually republish those articles as posts. We’ll also be sending future copies of Pomona right to your email in an online magazine format.
All of these changes will allow you better access to the articles of Pomona in easy to search, easy to read, mobile ready, and with device independence. So you can take NAFEX with you on the road or into the orchard. As we fill out the new site with existing and new content you’ll begin to see related articles from past editions of Pomona show up and you’ll find the site search will return articles that will answer questions on a variety of subjects.
Long Overdue
This new website is long overdue and you, our members, deserve a website that is contemporary, full of relevant content, and easy to use on all of your devices. The first thing you’ll notice is that we’ve largely ported our existing site content into a better organized site with only minor changes to that content but our goal is to add more and more content for you including an archive of digitized Pomona stretching back to NAFEX’s early days, a more robust search feature to help you find current Pomona articles on the topics you want to read about, and a larger variety of sources of information so you can find the information that you’re looking for.
Mobile Friendly
The future is mobile and the new NAFEX website is portable. Allowing you to take NAFEX with you wherever you’ve got a signal. Never get caught out in the orchard wishing you could remember what that Pomona article said. You’ll soon be able to look it up. You’ll be able to securely access the entire website on your phone, tablet, or any other mobile device starting right now.
Contributed Content
The new website makes contributing content to NAFEX easier than ever. We’re working on building out a submission form that will allow you to send reports, stories, photos, links to videos and more directly to the website so it can be shared with your fellow NAFEX members. This will take some time but if you’ve got content that you want to share now please use the contact form and let us know. We’ll work with you to figure out the best way to get it to us.
