Apples Around the World – NAFEX 2023 Virtual Conference, Session 2

The apple is the most widely cultivated fruit across temperate regions of the globe. Discover the many types of Malus species around the world as Dr. Gayle Volk shares the USDA’s Malus germplasm collection and discusses how genetic level testing has improved the collection and USDA’s international exchange program.
Derek Mills of Hocking Hills Orchard will also share how his collection of over 1,800 apple varieties helps him connect with other apple lovers and play an important citizen role in Malus exploration and preservation. All apple growers and lovers will enjoy this talk.

This interactive webinar is part of the North American Fruit Explorers (NAFEX) 2023 Virtual Conference, featuring three days of inspiring and informative online sessions for fruit growers, November 9-11, via ZOOM or by phone.
